Welcome to DED Sudan
We are pleased you chose to visit the website of the German Development Service (DED). Who are we, what do we do, and where do we work in Sudan? On this website you will find brief and clear information about our partner country and our work.
DED has been working in Sudan in order to achieve sustainable improvement of the living conditions of the Sudanese people and to create opportunities for development since 1979. Based on cooperative dialogue and intensive professional exchange, DED Advisors and Local Experts as well as the Advisory Offices on Democracy Promotion (ADP) work to support local organisations towards the implementation of development interventions and capacity development in three focal areas:
DED is cooperating with diverse local partner organisations - civil society and community based organisations -, other German and international NGOs in Northern and Southern Sudan by seconding national and international advisors and making small financial contributions to foster capacity development.
Please enjoy our website, take a look around and find out about DED and our work in Sudan!
Kind regards,
Peter Conrad, Country Director
